Part 1 Amendment per Regulations 29 and 30 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, GN R982 of 2014 (as amended) to extend the validity of the Environmental Authorisations by 10 years for the following Kimberley Strengthening Phase 4 Projects:
1. Boundary-Ulco 400kV Double Circuit Powerline (DEA Ref: 14/12/16/3/3/2/646)
Location: Tokologo Local Municipality, within the Lejweleputswa District Municipality, Free State; Sol Plaatje Local Municipality and Dikgatlong Local Municipalities (both under Frances Baard District Municipality, Northern Cape).
2. Ulco-Olien-Manganore 400kV Double Circuit Powerline (DEA Ref: 14/12/16/3/3/2/645)
Location: Dikgatlong Local Municipality, within the Frances Baard District Municipality; Tsantsabane Local Municipality; and Kgatelopele Local Municipality, both under ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, Northern Cape Province.
3. Manganore-Ferrum 400kV Double Circuit Powerline (DEA Ref: 14/12/16/3/3/2/644)
Location: Tsantsabane Local Municipality, within the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, Gamagara and Ga-Segonyana Local Municipalities, within the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality, Northern Cape Province.
Project Applicant: National Transmission Company of South Africa (NTCSA) formerly Eskom Holdings SoC Limited
Opportunity to Participate: This notice serves to inform the public that the Draft Environmental Authorisation Amendment Reports and attachments will be made available for a 30-day comment period from 29 May 2026 to 29 June 2026.
